17 Apr Changes to the National Quality Framework
The Early Childhood Education and Care sector continuously improves to ensure high quality education and care for children in Australia.
Recently, the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) released changes to the National Quality Framework (NQF). You need to be aware of these changes to ensure you provide current information when completing your assessment activities and/or applying the Framework to the service centre you are working with.
As of October 2017 the National Law and Regulations changes commenced in all states and territories, except Western Australia.
Western Australia’s changes will commence 1st October 2018 to allow for the legislation to pass through parliament.
From February 2018 the revised National Quality Standard (NQS) commenced in all states and territories, including Western Australia.
All learners currently completing a course in Early Childhood Education and Care with HBA Learning Centres will need to refer to the updated changes in their responses.
Information and the current versions have been posted on HBA’s online discussion forum and HBA’s Early Childhood Facebook page for Early Childhood Education and Care Learners.
