This qualification reflects the role of individuals coordinating and maintaining the work health and safety (WHS) program in an organisation. The qualification applies to supervisors and managers who apply a substantial knowledge base and well-developed skills in a wide variety of WHS contexts.

COURSE DURATION

Learners are given up to 18 months to complete the course.

Cost: $1,300

Structure: Self-paced delivery method

Overview:The self-paced delivery method is completed in your own time, at your own pace and is ideally suited to highly motivated self-starters.

Features: We provide our learners ongoing support throughout the learning-pathway via telephone, email, and our online discussion forums. HBA has a dedicated Learner Support Supervisor, who is available to assist learners throughout their learning experience.

All course resources are downloaded electronically thus you may commence almost immediately once enrolled.

Cost: $2,000

Structure: 5-day workshop with post course work

Overview: Our blended (intensive) delivery for the BSB51319 Diploma of Work Health and Safety includes a 5 days face-to-face, in a classroom with an experienced HBA trainer.

Please note that the 4 day courses have extended hours (0800 to 1700hrs). The contact hours remain the same as our 5 day course.

Features: The blended (intensive) delivery model substantially accelerates your learning; you will enjoy and benefit from the group dynamics created by having other learners in a class. Our trainer will lead the group down a very carefully planned pathway of learning where clustered delivery and formal assessment are part of the normal day.

The benefits of this learning experience include the sharing of industry specific WHS/OHS knowledge that comes from being part of a group, plus the expertise and personal help provided by the dedicated HBA trainer. The blended (intensive) delivery is our most popular mode of delivery.

What to expect:

  • 5 consecutive days face-to-face
  • Approximately 3 hours of nightly homework
  • Post course work

Can’t attend a full week? 

HBA offers split delivery. This means that you are able to attend the first 3 days of one week and the last two days later down the track! For more information please contact 1300 721 503

HBA Learning Centres courses commence promptly at the courses commencement time. Trainers will not delay start times if you are running late. If you are running late for a course you are enrolled in contact your trainer directly or contact HBA Learning Centres. You will have to catch up any missed content in your own time.

HBA requires a minimum number on courses and if this number isn’t met the course may be cancelled

Each Virtual Classroom has a host location in which your trainer will be facilitating from and will co-exist with a face-to-face classroom.

Cost: $2,000

Overview: Our Blended Virtual Classroom delivery method consists of a 5-day virtual workshop with an experienced HBA Trainer for the BSB51319 Diploma of Work Health and Safety. The Virtual Classroom is a variant method of the Blended delivery model.

Through GoToMeeting, the Virtual Classroom delivery method will allow learners to connect to the Trainer and other learners in a virtual setting. A learner will be sent a link from the Trainer which will allow them to login to the Virtual Classroom.

Features:

The 5-day Virtual Classroom allows the learner to enjoy and benefit from the group dynamics created by connecting to other learners and a Trainer in a virtual setting.

The benefits of this learning experience include the sharing of industry specific WHS/OHS knowledge that comes from being part of a group, plus the expertise and personal help provided by the dedicated HBA Trainer.

What to expect:

  • 5 consecutive days face-to-face
  • Approximately 3 hours of nightly homework
  • Post course work

Cost: $150 per unit

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is available for this Qualification.
