The TAESS00011 Assessor Skill Set is designed to provide Vocational Education and Training (VET) practitioners with the assessor competencies to meet Standards for RTOs requirements.
The units of competencies from this Skill Set contribute towards the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
The four units within this skill set are:
- TAEASS401 Plan assessment activities and processes
- TAEASS402 Assess competence
- TAEASS403 Participate in assessment validation
- TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools

Overview: Our Self-Paced delivery is designed for those that need a flexible learning structure. This delivery method is an entirely online approach to the TAESS00011 Assessor Skill Set
Features: The Self-paced delivery method is completed in your own time, at your own pace and is ideally suited to highly motivated self-starters. We provide our Learners ongoing support throughout the learning-pathway via telephone, email, and our industry leading online Discussion Forums.
All course materials are downloaded electronically. Thus, you may commence almost immediately once enrolled.

Structure: 5-day workshop with post course work
Overview: This Blended (Intensive) Delivery is a dynamic and engaging model, which will substantially accelerates your learning. You will enjoy and benefit from the group dynamics created by having other Learners in a class. Our Trainer will lead the group down a very carefully planned pathway of learning outcomes.
Features: During the five (5) face-to-face learning days, learners are introduced to components of each unit and provided the opportunity for skill development and practice through group learning activities, including group based discussions role-plays and practical learning activities, along with the commencement of small group and/or individual assessment activities under the support, guidance and supervision of a TAE Trainer.
Each Virtual Classroom has a host location in which your trainer will be facilitating from and will co-exist with a face-to-face classroom.

Structure: 5-day workshop with post course work
Overview: Our Blended Virtual Classroom delivery method consists of a 5-day virtual workshop with an experienced HBA Trainer for the TAESS00011 Assessor Skill Set. The Virtual classroom is a variant method of the Blended delivery model.
Through GoToMeeting, the Virtual Classroom delivery method will allow learners to connect to the Trainer and other learners in a virtual setting. A learner will be sent a link from the Trainer which will allow them to login to the Virtual Classroom.
Features: The 5-day Virtual Classroom allows the learner to enjoy and benefit from the group dynamics created by connecting to other learners and a Trainer in a virtual setting.
The benefits of this learning experience include the sharing of industry specific knowledge that comes from being part of a group, plus the expertise and personal help provided by the dedicated HBA Trainer.
What to expect:
- 5 consecutive days face-to-face
- Approximately 3 hours of nightly homework
- Post course work
Cost: $200 initial assessment and $200 per unit
