Things you should know about TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment with HBA

As we go about our normal daily tasks, we are often inundated by telephone calls that seek to clarify why people should enrol with our company – this of course is normal practice for any buyer of a product or service.

The things we most hear are:

  • I need the qualifications quickly as I have a job offer
  • I need to understand the differences in your course delivery models
  • How long will the course take me to complete?
  • Is there any hidden costs?
  • How can I quickly get help if I need it?
  • What do I have to do in the course to get my qualification?
  • Will the Qualification be recognised by my employer?

To cover off these points we respond as follow:

When HBA Learning Centres first became an RTO in 2006 we determined we would always provide straight and simple instructions using plain and common English in all our resources; we knew there would be a lot of people who had not been exposed to VET who would want to do this course.

The issues over the past 10 years have mostly centred on people wanting the qualification now but not really understanding the complexity of the course; as an entry level qualification it is extremely detailed and extensive in what it covers. To help everyone we designed 3 different models of delivery, and each has its own pros and cons.

The delivery models are:

Each of the delivery methods are given a total of 18 months to complete the course, this means you do not have to rush nor pay an additional fee after 6 or 12 months. As HBA Learning Centres is a Registered Training Organisation the qualification is recognised throughout the whole of Australia.

Each delivery method also has access to our many avenues of support which will help you through the course. HBA’s support consists of its Discussion Forums, Email & Telephone Support and organised Tutorials with qualified trainer and assessors.

Discussion Forums:

The Discussion forums makes it easier for you to understand and complete the course. It provides a 24/7 “trainer” at your fingertips.

Through the forum you can connect to a team of Trainers, Assessors, and other Learners and discuss any subject related to the course. You can learn from previously asked questions, all of which have been posted by other Learners and answered by our Assessors. In the unlikely event that your question has not been asked previously you can simply post a question and it will be answered within one business day by a qualified assessor. You can search for a keyword in the search bar which will take you direct to all entries on that subject.

Email and Telephone support:

You will be able to email or call Trainers and Assessors any time during business hours. You can ask for help on anything; from workbook questions, feedback duration and general enquiries about your course. A Trainer and Assessor will reply to your email at their first convenience.

Tutorials:

If you find you would like additional time with a trainer, we can organise a 1 on 1 tutorial for you to give you dedicated individual support for a small fee.

If you have any more questions, please call 1300 721 503 or email [email protected].
