10 Jul What will the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment teach me? – Part One
Following on from our previous overview of what the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment will teach you, we will now introduce you to the core units.
The first of the core Units of Competency is;
TAEDES401 Design and develop learning programs.
In this unit you will learn that a learning program is a schedule of the delivery of an entire qualification or a unit. It can have many session plans attached to it and is an auditable document. It shows how the entire learning will occur and includes things like:
- Defining the parameters of the learning program (understanding your target audience and ensuring what you design meets their learner characteristics)
- Working within the VET framework (ensuring you understand the VET legislation)
- Developing the program content (consider the assessment requirements and develop the subject matter)
- Designing the structure of the learning program (break the program down into smaller parts, consider the delivery strategies, document everything and consult)
To meet the requirements of the training package you will have to prepare and design a minimum of 2 learning programs.
NOTE: we will provide you with a template for this complex Unit.
