20 Aug What will the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment teach me? – Part Three
Following on from our previous part of what the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment will teach you, we will now introduce you to another core unit.
The third unit of competency we will address in TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is;
TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills.
This unit provides for a sophisticated analysis of 3 main elements:
- A unit is made up of skills and knowledge requirements and these require certain levels of Learning, Reading, Writing, Oral Communication and Numeracy. There are 6 levels of performance in these core skills and, using the ACSF we are able to ascribe a required level of ability against “Trigger Words”. This shows what level a Learner is required to hold in order that they can undertake the Unit of Competency.
- Using Precision Consultancy instruments we are able to measure a person’s existing skill levels in the 5 core skills.
- We are able to compare the levels required and the levels in existence and we can document any gap that may require training prior to the learner enrolling in the Unit of Competency.
This unit provides the underpinning knowledge required to be able to execute the analysis correctly.
If the acronym ACSF means nothing to you, then you are best advised to attend a face to face course as it is a complex activity and it is much easier to have a qualified Trainer/Assessor lead you in this learning activity.
