22 Mar When will TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment be modified?

Over the past year we had a lot of folk asking us this question and so we wrote off to PWC Skills for Australia, the Skills Service Organisation for the TAE Training Package and here is what they have said:

“The next review of the TAE training package remains as planned for 2022. 

Please note, in response to COVID-19 the Education IRC approved a small range of non-endorsable changes to the TAE Training Package, to be implemented alongside the Critical Skills for recovery project, to be completed in April 2021.“

So what do we think will happen to TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment? Well if there is one thing the dreadful COVID-19 virus has shown us all it is that there is a strong demand for online or, as we call it, Virtual Classroom delivery. It seems to us we could see one or more of the e- learning units such as TAEDEL501 Facilitate e-learning as a core Unit of Competency. Recently, the National VET Regulator, ASQA, included this unit on our Scope of Delivery without us requesting it and in the second quarter of 2021 we will develop the necessary resources and offer it to the general public, this will assist our learners greatly should our assumption on its inclusion does occur in 2023 or 2024.

Whatever the Government decides to do with TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, rest assured HBA Learning Centres will be at the front of the line when offering it to the general public.
